Microsoft Teams and Adobe Acrobat are collaborating for user convenience.

The video conferencing platform’s latest upgrade should make it much easier to access PDF files in Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft has said that it is striving to improve the PDF experience for users of the famous Adobe Acrobat app.

In particular, Microsoft Teams administrators will soon be able to choose Adobe Acrobat as the default PDF editing tool. Thus, minimizing the troubles and annoyances that are now produced each time a user wants to open one of the files.

The upgrade is still listed as being in development on the official Microsoft 365 roadmap, with a public launch date of September 2022.

According to Microsoft, this update will allow users to modify the existing PDF options in the Teams admin center. It will allow them to read and edit files using Adobe Acrobat as the default viewer and editor.

The software giant claims a preview of the upgrade will be available this month. While the tool will be available to all Microsoft Teams customers on the Mac, Web, and desktop versions of the platform.

The newest productivity upgrade has been added to Microsoft Teams as the organization strives to keep it as a valuable hybrid working tool.

This includes the latest release of updates geared primarily at enhancing audio quality on Microsoft Teams conversations with AI and machine learning.

The upgrade was the product of a machine learning model built on 30,000 hours of voice samples. It included echo cancellation, better adapting audio in bad acoustic conditions, and allowing users to talk and hear at the same time without distortion.

Microsoft claims to be working on bringing “Microsoft Teams 2.0 to business devices shortly, previously limiting it to user accounts.

Microsoft Teams 2.0, which is fully integrated into Windows 11’s new Chat app. It enables calling, messaging, audio controls, meeting management, and native Windows notifications. It also allows users to resize windows and quote responses right from the discussion tab.

Ever since Microsoft and Google have crossed swords, Microsoft is making collaborations with other organizations including video conferencing platforms like Zoom and now Adobe Acrobat. I think Microsoft is trying to make Teams champion of hybrid working and it is succeeding so far!
