The new OneDrive update is minor, but we no longer lose any files. 

Remember when you are looking for a file on OneDrive and you can’t seem to find it. We all know this is the most dreadful moment when your boss asks for a file and it’s nowhere to be found. With new updates Microsoft is making sure that you don’t face this again. 

This company is allowing rename option to “add to OneDrive” shortcuts. This will definitely make it convenient for us to track any specific file and folder. 

With this update OneDrive users would be able to rename shortcuts that they add using “add to OneDrive” option. This update will be available on OneDrive web browser and will be appreciated by many users. 

OneDrive Updates 

In Microsoft 365 official entry the software giant claims that this update will launch in June 2022. When this update is rolled out, OneDrive web users will be able to use it. 

This is the recent change to Microsoft OneDrive versions. Since covid-19 the company is exploring ways to make work from home convenient and efficient. 

Microsoft also revealed that there will be a dedicated feed for OneDrive Business users. With this feed, they would be able to check highlights of recent activity regarding their files. 

 Another feature that is added to OneDrive Business web browser is a new activity column to “My Files” page. Users will be able to view which shared documents have unseen edits and comments. 

Microsoft also introduced further updates which organize user control by giving them the ability to manage access permissions. Users will be able to control access when shared a link. 

Microsoft 365 users will take advantage of OneDrive and Microsoft Teams integration. Microsoft is adding “Your Teams” section on “More places “page.   

Although Google Drive is the most popular cloud-based storage service. However, with these changes it is expected Microsoft OneDrive will attract a bigger chunk of global business.
